A Guitar For Heroes

This guitar, signed by Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt of Status Quo was commissioned by The Langdales Hotel to raise funds for Help for Heroes. The guitar is in the style of a double neck thinline Telecaster, built by Bob and Terry Young of TKR Guitars. The top guitar is constructed as an homage to the guitar played by Rick Parfitt and he has autographed it by the stoptail bridge. The relief cut in the top of the guitar is in the shape of the word QUO and is lined with 24ct gold leaf. The bottom guitar is built as an homage to the guitar played by Francis Rossi and he has autographed it to the right of the control panel. The bridge on the bottom guitar has been designed by TKR Guitars and the prototype fitted to this guitar was constructed by Hangar 25 BAE Systems Warton, Chromium plated by Silverfield Ltd and Aqua Plating Preston as a contribution to the cause. On the rear is an original airbrush artwork depicting a faceless amputee on crutches in the foreground, 3 servicemen in action and the word HELP painted to look like red white and blue barbed wire.
A very thought provoking piece.
The guitar comes in a one off custom built flightcase by Trifibre.
